Victory Southern California, or Victory SoCal, is a Christ-centered, spirit-empowered, socially responsible group of churches that exist to Honor God and Make Disciples.
As a member of Every Nation Churches and Ministries we are committed to Church Planting, Campus Ministries, and World Missions.
WHERE WE STARTED
OUR STORY
In 2013, Pastor Robert Hern Jr received a clear call from God to plant a church in the United States. With the prayerful guidance of leaders from the Every Nation global spiritual family, he and his family made a bold decision: they handed over the 10,000-member congregation he had been pastoring, sold everything they owned, and left the comfort of their home in Manila, Philippines. In July 2014, they moved to San Diego, California, to pursue God’s call.
On January 25, 2015, Victory San Diego was planted. Just over a year later, on May 22, 2016, Victory Pasadena was birthed. Today, both churches are growing together as one church family—Victory Southern California.
WHY WE EXIST
OUR PURPOSE
We exist to honor God and make disciples.
Everything we are, everything we do is for God’s honor and glory. We exist to love and honor Him in what we say, think and do. As a result, we obey God’s command to go and make disciples by engaging culture and community, establishing biblical foundations, equipping believers to minister, and empowering disciples to make disciples.

LORDSHIP
Because Jesus is “King of kings and Lord of lords,” we believe that whole-hearted submission to God’s will and his Word is the starting point of the Christian faith and the foundation of all spiritual growth.

EVANGELISM
Because God’s heart is to reach the lost, we’re passionate about preaching the gospel and doing ministry in a way that engages people outside of the Christian faith. We seek to build churches primarily through evangelism, not transfer growth.

DISCIPLESHIP
Because we’re called to make disciples, our primary focus is establishing biblical foundations, equipping believers to minister, and empowering disciples to make disciples—not conducting meetings, facilitating programs, or building buildings.

LEADERSHIP
Because we’re called to establish churches and campus ministries in every nation, we’re committed to a culture of empowering leadership. We’re intentionally multi-generational, and we deliberately create opportunities and platforms to develop the next generation of leaders.

FAMILY
Because the family is the foundation and validation of ministry, we refuse to sacrifice our marriages and our children on the altars of temporal success. And because we believe God has called us to be a spiritual family, we embrace community, reject the idea of disposable relationships, and choose to walk in love, respect, and unity.
