ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

We’re hiring a part-time Administrative Assistant!
We’re looking for someone reliable, organized, and ministry-minded to support the day-to-day operations of our church. This role involves working closely with our pastor, ministry leaders, and volunteers to coordinate events, manage communications, and help keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes. Work Environment & Expectations:

  • On-site at our Victory Center in El Cajon.

  • Work Schedule: 20 hours per week

  • Flexible schedule based on church needs

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative or clerical role, preferably in a nonprofit or ministry context.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and preferably Apple’s iWork Suite (Pages, Numbers, Keynote).

  • Comfortable with technology and quick to learn new platforms and tools

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, able to work independently and gets things done within a given deadline.

  • Discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive information

  • Friendly, welcoming presence with a heart for serving

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and coordinate events, services, trainings, and meetings (both online and in-person)

  • Manage church communication with staff, volunteers, and external vendors

  • Maintain organized filing systems (digital and physical) and protect confidential information

  • Oversee the church calendar and schedule use of facilities and equipment

  • Respond to inquiries and provide requested documents (e.g. letters, statements, volunteer certifications)

  • Order and manage supplies and coordinate facility maintenance

  • Prepare reports and documents as needed by church leadership
